Finishing Friday

Well, it took a dreary day, no plans for the afternoon for me to FINALLY finish the Elsebeth Lavold Ljod sweater. I started this back in October and technically finished the knitting part of it back in February. I tried it on before setting the sleeves and it wasn't fitting through the hips.

Four weeks ago I went back to Weight Watchers to shave off the 7 lbs I gained over last summer...well they are off now and I tried the sweater on again and it was fitting much better through the hips. So today I set the sleeves, sewed on the buttons and had a terrible photo session. Perhaps I'll get my creative daughter to take some more pics for me.

As with the summer shell I finished last fall, my timing is off on wearing ability for this. However, it has been a bit chilly and I might get one wear in before the warmer weather is here to stay.

I cast on a spring/summer project yesterday from Fitted Knits. I got the recommended Cascade 220 in turquoise - it was on sale at Webs Anniversary sale for under $5/skein. The tank calls for only 3 skeins. What a perfectly priced project.
